Annex 4

FINANCING PLAN

Persons applying for residence permits for the purpose of several years of study in Norway must state in the financing plan how their studies will be financed.

If the studies are not to be financed by the State Educational Loan Fund or out of the applicant's own funds, the applicant must state who will be financing the studies.

If the studies are to be financed by means of public support, a scholarship or other funds from his/her home country, the applicant must state how the funds will be transferred to Norway.

Documentation must be provided showing that sufficient funds are available for the first year of study.  The normal requirement is for an amount corresponding to full support from the State Educational Loan Fund to have been deposited in an account with a Norwegian bank.

¨ 1.       Financing by the State Educational Loan Fund.

¨ 2.       Other public support.  Scholarship.

The anticipated amount of the annual support or scholarship grant and the source of the support or scholarship must be stated.

¨ 3.       Private funds.

            ¨ Savings         ¨ Work   ¨ Loan or gift from relatives

            ¨ Other (specify)

       State the amounts of savings, loans or gifts.

¨ 4.       The financing plan must be enclosed with your first application for a residence permit for educational purposes.
